Temporary additional conditions of pool hire

Temporary additional conditions of pool hire

Please note: it is the hirers responsibility to ensure that your booking complies with all government guidelines and legislation in force both at the time of your booking and at the time of your session.

1. Any person who has any Covid-19 symptoms, or any person who is or has been advised to self isolate, or anyone who has someone within their household with these conditions, are not allowed to use the facilities.
2. To avoid congestion on entrance to the pool, session times are reduced to 55 minutes.
You should remain in the car park until the commencement of your session and the previous users (where applicable) have returned to the car park.
Please ensure you leave the pool building at 5 minutes before the hour to allow time to return to your vehicle for the next users to have clear access to the pathway.
3. Bookings for the pool can only be taken for use by swimming groups from a maximum of 2 households per session.
4. In line with government guidance we would request that you avoid using the shower and changing facilities if possible.
The government guidance states “All venues should encourage attendees to arrive at the facility in sports kit and where possible to travel home to change/shower. Use of changing rooms and showering facilities should in general be avoided where possible”.
Our changing facilities and shower will however be open for use if you are unable to follow the government guidelines.
5. Poolside loungers and arm chairs have temporarily been removed together with swimming floats.
You may bring your own swim aids. Any swimming aids left on the premises will be removed and destroyed.
Please do not bring any other child’s toys into the pool building.
Armchairs have temporarily been replaced with easy clean armless chairs.
For health and safety reasons the travel cot will remain in the building. It will be deep cleaned on every cleaning session and there will be sanitiser available for use at other times. Please do not touch or use the travel cot other than for its purpose. The hanging of towels, clothes, etc on the sides is strictly forbidden.
6. Enhanced cleaning will be carried out during closed sessions so that our cleaners will not come into the pool building during your session.
Sanitising sprays will be available inside the building for your use.
Please use the hand sanitisers located in the car park or outside the main entrance before entering the building.
7. Our 72 hour notice of cancellation will be waived for anyone needing to cancel because of Covid-19 infection within their swimming group. Please be aware if you cancel for this reason, you or anyone in your swimming group will not be allowed to use the facilities for 15 days after the cancelled session and all other prebooked sessions during that time will also be cancelled.

We reserve the right to request written evidence of infection.

8. As part of our risk assessment we are required to monitor adherence to these conditions. Anyone found not to be complying with these conditions will have all further sessions cancelled.

9. These temporary conditions are in addition to our standard terms of conditions of hire.
